How To Make Time For Your Loved Ones & Achieve Work Life Balance

Nowadays everybody’s lives are wrapped in schedules and meetings.

Everybody is busy.  Rarely does anybody manage to make any time for themselves and their loved ones.

The hectic hustle and bustle of daily life does not leave much time for oneself. Our lives have become too fast paced that it is almost impossible to be able to sit and take a breather for even a minute or two.

The burden of the immense work load makes it really difficult to set aside time for our loved ones.

However, it is very important to make some time for them. They are the backbone which supports you. It is their love, guidance and support which enable one to function in a smooth and efficient manner daily.

1.) Don’t Bring Your Office Work Home

Once you return home, its family time.

Don’t stay glued to your work Blackberry or iPads. Listen to what your family has to say. Take an active part in their conversation; ensure that there is always positive vibes flowing around seamlessly in the household.

Don’t make an attempt to buy the happiness of your loved ones by bribing them with expensive gifts instead of making valuable time for them.

There are no shortcuts when it comes to spending time with your loved ones. Remember that things don’t always remain the same.

Time changes everything every moment, so make most of the present time, spend as much time possible with your loved ones, for you never know what tomorrow might have in store for you. So keep your wok aside for some moments and make some lovely memories with your loved ones.

2.) A Family That Eats Together Stays Together

This is an old adage which has been known since time immemorial.

Try to have at least one meal everyday with all the family members seated at one table for a meal.  That way you would be able to catch up with lives of all of your loved ones daily.

Also, if possible plan a family vacation at least once a year, with all the members of the family.

3.) Telephone Communication

If your loved ones are far away from you, then try to keep the communication alive by making frequent phone calls and text messages.

Let them know that in spite of the distance you care about them and that you are thinking about them.

Fix a particular time if possible and keep a continuous flow of communication streaming.  It is very important to appreciate the effort put in by the loved ones and to let them know how much you appreciate them.

Work is a never ending ritual for most of us and it will never ever end unless we quit our jobs.

Life would be meaningless if it was just about working hard and slogging away at our jobs from day to day.

Most of us tend to disregard the fact that there is so much more to life than our jobs, meeting datelines and pleasing our clients.

If we take out time to relax, socialize with our loved ones or do healthy recreational activities, we will find that our lives would be so much more fulfilling and less monotonous.
